4.5 Central CA?

I was just looking at the USGS map for CA/NV and saw a big square right in the middle but its yellow and no one felt it. I didn't see it before. So I click it on it and it says this:

I didn't get the shakemail for that until after the square on the map was yellow. Strange. I don't think it ever appeared on the map as a red square.

Hi All. Someone dropped the ball at SCSN. The quake occurred off the coast of Mendocino. How anyone could miscalculate a quake that bad is beyond me. There wasn't one single seismograph in the area showing a quake of that magnitude, but there were seismographs in the Mendocino area showing the quake.

I contacted USGS at Menlo Park and they got it straightened out. Take Care...Don
